Founded in 1992, Talbert’s Medical Billing is more than a billing company—it’s the result of perseverance, passion, and purpose. At the heart of the company is Mary L. Talbert, a visionary whose journey from single parenthood to business pioneer reflects the same dedication she gives to every client.
Mary’s professional path began with hands-on experience in medical office administration, billing, and coding, where she developed a deep understanding of the challenges healthcare providers face. Her strong work ethic and commitment to excellence quickly made her an asset to every organization she worked with.
After years of helping others grow their practices, Mary—encouraged by her husband, Jasper Talbert—decided to step out on faith. In 1992, she launched Talbert’s Medical Billing, becoming the first business in Louisiana history to receive an SBA loan for a medical billing service. From day one, the company was built to support a diverse group of physicians, behavioral health providers, and medical facilities..
